The improper disposal of a computer can impact the environment.

- Computers contain dangerous chemicals such as arsenic, nickel, lithium, cadmium, chromium, and mercury. Some of the plastics used in computers are PVC which is one of the most environmentally unfriendly plastics around. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastic, commonly referred to as vinyl, is one of the most hazardous consumer products ever created. PVC is dangerous to human health and the environment throughout its entire life cycle, at the factory, in our homes, and in the trash. Our bodies are contaminated with poisonous chemicals released during the PVC lifecycle, such as mercury, dioxins, and phthalates, which may pose irreversible life-long health threats. When produced or burned, PVC plastic releases dioxins, a group of the most potent synthetic chemicals ever tested, which can cause cancer and harm the immune and reproductive systems.
- There is around 5 pounds of lead in older monitors which ends up in landfill and can possibly contaminate ground water.

Some countries are recognizing that the improper disposal of electronic goods is becoming a problem and are bringing in regulations to make it illegal. This is especially true in Europe where they are really cracking down on it.
We proudly offer worry-free solutions for the disposal of old computers, monitors and other electronic equipment including protection from identity theft.
- Hard drives are sanitized or destroyed compliant to DoD 5220.22-M standard.

SecureOnlineNetworks can safely dispose of and recycle these devices as well ensuring that a strict “No Landfill” policy is implemented.
Through a sophisticated process, a demanufacturing of the used electronics is accomplished that enables the recovery and ultimate reuse of many valuable, yet potentially hazardous resources. Materials recovered include plastics, metals, leaded and unleaded glass, circuit boards, power supplies, and drives.
The unique sorting systems insures that all material generated from the demanufacturing operation are recycled according to applicable local, state and federal regulations. No equipment processed will go to a landfill. All material will go back into the production stream closing the end of life loop.

Would you like to donate your equipment to a needy charity? Or maybe you'd prefer to refurbish your equipment and redeploy it to another company department. SecureOnlineNetworks can provide these services and more for a fraction of what it would cost you to do it yourself.

- We can Transfer data from your old computer to your new computer for a $15.00 fee.
