Do You Feel Depressed?: Paid Research Participant at UM
Miami, FL • 09/14/2007
The Mood and Anxiety Disorders Laboratory at the University of Miami is looking for participants in a study exploring how our mood affects the ways in which we think or process information. The aim of this research is to enhance our understanding of the causes of depression and improve its treatment.
Are you currently feeling down or depressed for most of the day, nearly everyday? Are you no longer able to enjoy activities you usually like to do? Has this lasted for as long as two weeks?
If this describes you, you may be interested in participating.
As a participant you will take part in an interview about your moods and past emotional experiences. You may also be invited for three more study sessions which involve filling out some questionnaires and completing simple tasks on a computer. The study sessions will take about 2 hours each. The study takes place at the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
Eligible participants will receive $15/hr for their time.
To be eligible to participate in this study, you MUST:
** be between 18 and 65 years of age
** speak and read English fluently
** have color vision
** not suffer from alcohol abuse or dependence
** be in good physical health
** be a US citizen or non-citizen with a Green Card
** have no immediate plans to leave Miami
